Tanzanite is the “fashion gem” of the Millennium. Due to demands outstripping supply there is only a few years of mining left. Tanzanite is the blue/purple variety of the mineral zoisite discovered in the Meralani of Northern Tanzania in 1967, and is now widely used as a gemstone for Tanzanite Rings since Tiffany’s launched a campaign to introduce it to the market.
